Business Development Manager
The Sunshine Coast Function Centre is the premier venue to cater for all your function and event needs. Featuring high ceilings and modern decor. The floor to ceiling glass atrium lobbies feature state of the art design and private bar facilities whilst the surrounding restaurants, cafe and bars, within the Caloundra RSL, provide the opportunity for delegates to mingle after the conference.
As the Business Development Manager, your focus will be to generate new business and maximise the utilisation of our Function facilities. You would be responsible for maintaining existing clients and growing new clients, with a strong focus on revenue growth. We are ideally looking for someone who can think outside the square when seeking potential opportunities to attract business to the Function Centre and for someone who has access to a vast network across the Sunshine Coast and surrounding areas.
The Business Development Manager will become the PR face of the Sunshine Coast Function Centre and ensure that every possible opportunity for promoting the facilities are used, to maximum exposure of the business and continue to improve the business demands.
Your primary responsibility will be;
• Implementing a proactive sales plan to achieve revenue goals
• Drive sales, conversion ratios and revenue expectations
• Target potential new clients and source and follow up on leads
• Maximise the revenue growth of the Function Centre
• Ensure that public relations are utilised to maximise exposure of the venue
• Following up on Customer satisfaction with an intention to gain repeat business
Demonstrated Abilities:
• Previous Sales Management experience
• Ability to cold call and secure conversions of leads
• Ability to positively lead and supervise a team
• Ability to prioritise, multi-task and meet deadlines
• Ability to influence and sell over the telephone
• Knowledge of Event coordination
• Possess a results driven attitude

Position Details and Benefits:
• Permanent full time position (flexible working options can be considered)
• Flexible hours Monday – Saturday (pending attendance at required networking events)
• Annual Salary range to commence: $50+k plus superannuation and other benefits (negotiable on demonstrated experience)
• Meal Allowance and Supplied Uniforms and Mobile Phone
